Our take
For someone already a wooden kit or two deep — not a first ROKR. It's 294 parts at an official 4-of-6, and the seven-hour estimate assumes no backtracking. In exchange: roughly 2.5m of funnel track, four lift mechanisms off a single hand crank, acrylic panels you can watch the ball through. The blue breathing light in the photos comes with the separate Link Pack, and ROKR's support page carries a ball-jamming FAQ.

What works
- Roughly 2.5 m of funnel-shaped track folded into a 32.5 cm footprint, with four distinct lift mechanisms (spiral slopes, crane lifter, wheel lifter, short slide) all driven from one hand crank
- High-transparency acrylic panels mean you can actually watch the steel balls travel through the fortress instead of losing them inside the structure
- Charcoal-grey dip-dyed plywood with metallic screen printing arrives already finished - no painting or staining step
- Runs on a hand crank with no batteries, and can later be joined to Marble Spaceport via the separately sold Marble Run Link Pack for a motor-driven combined layout
What to watch for
- The advertised LED/blue-breathing-light effect is NOT in this box - it only comes with the separately sold Link Pack, which is easy to misread from marketing photos
- ROKR's own support material for this kit carries a ball-jamming FAQ section, which suggests marbles stalling on the track is a recurring outcome rather than a one-off
- At 294 small parts and an official 4-of-6 difficulty, this is a poor choice as a first ROKR - the 7-hour estimate assumes no backtracking
- Gravity-fed sections need the model sitting genuinely level; the same design pattern causes stalls on ROKR's other funnel runs
